Hi, I hope your week is going well and that if you are in Europe/UK (Hi Ruth!!) you are not snowbound and freezing. Yesterday was a hot day here, up to 30 degrees C at one point, major ugh on my part. This made painting rather interesting - I did the first coat around 10am and had to wait four hours between coats. The second coat was a little more tricky because it was pretty hot and I could sense the paint was going to dry fast. Needless to say a tiny bit of panic set in a couple of times. Here is the before photo of a section of the kitchen. The small holes you can see on the wall are for the fitting we hang all of our pots from.
... and after (taken this morning when the sun was shining in). I have to say I love the colour of this paint, it is so warm and it changes it's mood depending on the light.
This morning I am back in the garden in the shade! It's going to be another stinking (sorry only word I can use) hot day. This afternoon we are going grocery shopping which is probably the best idea as I definitely won't be able to garden then. I have a few lettuce plants to plant in the kitchen garden but I'll have to wait until this evening when it's a bit cooler.
I finished the canvas I was working on yesterday and I am really happy with it. My mother thinks it would look better without the flower but I wanted a punch of colour and I think the flower ''makes it''. Good practise for me too! I'll post a photo for you tomorrow. Big smiles and have a wonderful day/night wherever you are in the world.....
