Hi, it's 10.32am already - where has the time gone? My morning started with a rushed trip down to the Redwood Valley Hall at about 8.40am to have my photo taken for a local free publication that goes out every week. The organisers of the market are trying to get as much publicity for it as they can. There were only two of us there for the photo and I had to do the quickest clothes change in the west so I'd look presentable.
I've just got back from walking Chester which was more of a trial than a pleasure. His back legs really aren't great and at one stage he was trying to go to the toilet (if you know what I mean) and he just sat down, so didn't go. This muscular weakness in his back legs is one of the main side effects of this drug but the vet told me yesterday that once his system builds up a tolerance for the drug (2-4 weeks) he should return to normal. It's just awful seeing him like this.
Today I am harvesting a lot of our damson plums. I am going to make damson jelly and I think I will also try making some damson gin. We tried it at Jody's house on Saturday night and it was delicious! It's also incredibly easy to make. What fun to make something different.
I am in the process of organising the photographs of the weekend so I will be able to post some tomorrow.
I'm also thinking about having a gardening tip section here on my blog and was wondering if you think that would be interesting? I'd do it with both hemispheres in mind too. Let me know what you think. Smiles..
LOVE the garden tip idea even if it was just NZ since I love to read what others do. But if you have tips that could help me too - WOW!
