Hi, giggle, as you can tell we didn't get any of the rain that was forecast for the last couple of days.. well hang on, yes we did get around 0.3mm!! Ack, pathetic. The garden is as dry as a chip again in parts so I need to do some major watering today and tomorrow morning.
This weekend I am off to judge home baking at a local A&P (agriculture and produce) show and I'm quaking a bit in my boots because I've never done it before. Add to that the fact that I can't stand the taste of sweet things in the morning and I'm in trouble.. then there's ''who's had their hands on this'' too. Oh good grief, how do I get myself into these things! Major giggle! I think I only have around 30 minutes to judge one heck of a lot of baking so it could be interesting.
Yesterday was a definite ''nothing'' sort of day. I just couldn't bring myself to really do anything, a result of all the Chester activity at the beginning of the week I think. He seems to be okay, though a bit dulled and less obedient than normal on his morning walk today which I put down to the icky tablets he's now on. Apparently they do tend to make them a bit more sedentary and slighty low in themselves at first. I hope it doesn't last too long. He's going into kennels for a day or two as a precursor for when we are away for a few weeks, so he gets a taste of it. I hope he enjoys it and doesn't stress too much. Yay I won't need to walk him for a day or two!!! I've never really enjoyed walking very much, I'd far rather spend 8 hours weeding in the garden than walking for 30 minutes - strange but true.
I started another canvas yesterday late afternoon which really perked me up. I just love playing with colour and this is a gorgeous combination of deep red, buff and white, soon to be spritzed with some ''Clamshell'' glimmermist. Yum! I'm not sure what I'll do to it next but we'll see.
Time to go and hang the washing out, put on another load and start watering like a mad woman. Smiles..
