... is all I can say. I altered something yesterday that has me really excited! I just love the way it turned out. Before I upload the photos of it, back to yesterday. I sealed my canvas and it is now ready to be part of my March market stall. I feel it is really important for me to have several different things on my stall each month so regulars don't get bored with my ''lot''.
Crikey.. a quick aside... just as was typing this I heard an unusual bird call. Out to the verandah, looking down towards the pond and what do I see?? A GORGEOUS parakeet-type bird high up in th eucalyptus trees. As I watched (for the next 20mins or so) it proceeded to dive-bomb our ducks and generally cavort in the trees. I managed to get a good look at it with my Dad's powerful binoculars and it is stunning. Body green with a sheen of blue, red beak, black ring around it's neck and very long tail. Body and wings the most gorgeous shade of yellow underneath. Hmmmm not sure if it is one of our rarer native ones or a pet escapee! Will have to do some research. I had to stop looking at it because my eyes were getting sore looking through the binoculars and concentrating so hard! Wow this property never fails to amaze me re the birdlife we see here! They must know I love them.
Back to yesterday's project. I took a 2" square glass tea-light holder and adhered and sealed decorative tissue to it, then I adhered a layered heart I made ages ago onto one side. I love the way this looks!
This technique has got my mind spinning with all sorts of lovely possibilities! Sometimes I have so many creative ideas inside my brain I feel as though it will burst!
It's a lovely cloudy day today with a hint of drizzle in the air so I'm off out to garden. Smiles...
