Righteo.. giggle.. I wanted to say something other than hi for a change! This morning I am unsure what I want to do because my neighbour is taking me out for lunch to thank me for looking after their cat so often. This means I don't feel I can really settle to anything.. ooooh wait a minute - I will sow three zucchini seeds in the glasshouse and plant some red (gorgeous looking) pak choi seedlings in the new raised garden John's done in the KG (kitchen garden). I will need to cover it because the white butterflies are out and about. Yikes that reminds me I need to dash down to the KG and re-cover the brassicas. I watered the garden thoroughly last night and took the protective covers off. Heck, I'll be back....
...15 minutes later she staggers back after also setting up the sprinker.. dang temperamental thing!.. and hanging out the washing, oh and getting greens for the chooks and the rabbit. These days I tend to be a bad mother and forget to give them any till the afternoon - bad, bad mother!
Yesterday was an odd day - I lacked much in the way of enthusiasm for really getting stuck into anything. I did manage to do some gardening but I found it hard to settle into it. I think it must be the weather which has been fairly sticky, it just drains my energy really fast. Today it is overcast and they are predicting a little drizzle.. hmmm I'll believe THAT when I feel it! Parts of the garden are so dry I'm getting really confused about what to water when.
The single bed in the spare bedroom has gone to a good home and this afternoon our new sofabed is being delivered. It will be lovely to have something less obtrusive in what is a pretty small room and in the future we will have fun decorating it. The sofabed is a warm rust-red with a slight hint of black through it so I'm thinking neutral walls (NOT my thing usually) with maybe one of my pieces of art or maybe even poppies hand-painted directly onto the walls. There will also need to be a hint of black in the room too to pick up the hint of black through the sofabed covers. That's quite a way down the decorating track though.
I'd better go and make the most of the cloud cover whilst swatting mosquitos away from my legs! Aaaggghh but wait, I need to get myself totally organised for my market stall tomorrow. I need to leave home at 7.30am, crikey! Smiles..
