Hmmm not sure where that saying came from but it means I'm really tired apparently! Giggle.. Yesterday started off with a rush and a roar with the market. I sold quite a few plants, oooh and one of my large decorative magnets. I was so thrilled! I also got lots of compliments on my art and other pieces which was just lovely, it makes me feel good to know people really think my things are beautiful even if they don't buy anything.
I got home around 1.15pm, we ate some lunch and then I pottered around doing a few things for the rest of the afternoon, including sowing some lupin seed in punnets to sell at the March stall (here's hoping they'll be ready in time!). I've decided to branch out into a few other things, like delphinium seedlings too and if they don't sell I'll plant them - I can't lose!
By late in the day I realised Sabah was nowhere to be seen and I started to just feel a little trepidation setting in. I've always kept my cats inside at night, which has been really important for Sabah since he was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease years ago because we need to try and make sure he doesn't eat too much protein - rabbits etc. Since he's now got cancer I get anxious when he's not around for too long in case something happens and we can't find him. Needless to say the little toad (ermmm cat) didn't come home until I called him again at 7am!! this morning! I was still out calling him off and on at 2.50am. Yes, you guessed it I had around 2 hours sleep last night. John didn't get much more than that either so we're both grumpy and tired today.
Chester has also been off his food at breakfast time lately and we think it's because we've stopped the yummy(??!!) supplement we had been giving him since he was a puppy due to too many crystals appearing in his urine. Add his nasty seizure into the mix and all this plus Sabah adds up to too much dang worry when it comes to pets. Having none is sounding good about now (don't worry the feeling won't last long!!!).
Phooey enough of my grumbling mumbling!!! My glass is half full, I'm about to sow some carrot seeds (much too thickly as usual no doubt, meaning oodles of tedious thinning later, giggle) and I'm also going to sow some delphinium seed for the market today too. I'm thinking I may need to put them in next doors grow tunnel to get them to germinate more quickly. I'll try talking to them heaps too! Oooh and there was a teensy weensy bit of drizzle this morning, around 1/16 of teaspoon I think but at least it's giving the garden a bit of a rest. Smiles...
