Hi, it's another STUNNING summer day and interestingly enough, the mornings are beginning to feel vaguely autumnal already which is just gorgeous. I love waking up to cool mornings with dew on the grass, it's so invigorating..... until.... I get out into the sun and think ''oh crikey, hot!!!''.
I am watering like a mad thing at the moment and am leaving my sprinkler on for 2 hours in each section of the garden so the water gets a chance to penetrate the soil properly. This might sound like a long time but it is the best way to water - deeply and less often.
Oooh I got a lovely surprise yesterday, I think I mentioned that I'd sown some lupin seed to sell on my stall at the market in early March (not really thinking they'd be ready). Imagine my surprise when 2 days after sowing them, they are already coming up! Screeeeeeeeech in amazement. They are in my neighbours polytunnel so I did think the germination rate would be faster than normal but 2 DAYS!! Wow!
Here's the photo of my canvas, I really hope you like it. I know the flower is fairly powerful but that's what I wanted. Unfortunately the photo doesn't do the texture of it justice.
The curvature is caused the the lens of the camera, the canvas is straight. I painted the background black and gold and then adhered collage tissue (isn't it gorgeous??!!) to it, painted the flower and used a rubon with the words ''beautiful'' at the top (hard to see here). I was such fun to do.. now what to do next??!!!
Today I am going to try to do some gardening before it gets too hot and then I need to start working on a VERY special birthday card for someone (you know who you might be, giggle)!!! I can't wait. Smiles...
