The Madness Continues.. Grin & We Need Rain!!

Hi honeys, yes the madness is continuing.  I am so busy I don't know which way is up.. perhaps I need to post here more often to clear my head?  I have such good intentions to post regularly but then things happen and I completely forget!

Last week was crazy, with 26 boxes being shipped, including 9 to the Wellington Botanic Gardens. We then did a road trip on the Tuesday to deliver 60 perennials to a council gardens in Blenheim (2 hours drive each way).  This meant I couldn't catch up with paperwork or propagation so the rest of the week was mad.  The school holidays were finished so that was also the week I started back at ballet class.  Well, you can imagine the rest!  Pant, pant!

I managed to get some gardening done last Saturday and a bit on Sunday but Monday (public holiday) was spent packing up 18 boxes and 2 courier post bags of plant to go Tuesday morning.  

We need rain so badly at the moment.  Parts of my garden are arid and there are whispers of water restrictions already which is ludicrously early and very concerning!  On a brighter note my garden is looking spectacularly beautiful at the moment.  Here are a few photos.  Smiles, Philippa

 

Plants Galore & Some Photos

Hi honeys, I'm in the midst of packing up orders, even though it's Sunday, so they can go tomorrow.  I'm also packing up lots of plants tomorrow to go on Tuesday - yes it's that crazy time in the gardening year, Spring.

This morning I've packed up 170 plants to go to the Wellington Botanic Gardens tomorrow.  I'm still pinching myself that some of my treasures are going to the Botanic Gardens in our Capital City!  Crikey, I honestly didn't dream that would ever happen.  I'm so happy and feel very humbled in a way.

Tuesday I'm off to Blenheim (2 hour drive) to delivery an order of plants to another public park, Pollard Park, which again is so exciting!  I wanted to deliver them myself so I can see where they will be planted and also it's a great excuse to see our granddaughter, Hadley who will be 1 on 12 December.

I'm Still Alive, I Promise!

Hi honeys, oh boy what a busy month September was and October is going to be even more busy.  I've just got back from spending four days in New Plymouth celebrating my gorgeous Mum's 91st birthday.  Wow - 91!!!  

I came up with the idea to do a ballet performance for her and oh I'm so glad I did.  Mum absolutely loved it, as did the 30 or so other residents that watched me.  I performed the day after Mum's birthday because I needed to check out where I would be doing it and make sure my music worked in their machine.  Needless to say it was a little tricky because I had to dance on very thin carpet in not much space but I managed with only a few blips.

I did four different variations (dances) including one that I've choreographed myself to part of a beautiful song ''Never Enough'' from the Greatest American Showman movie.  The other three were classical pieces, one of which I'm doing in my exam in December.  I wore my red leotard and white tutu skirt and Mum's face was just a picture.  She had no idea I was going to do it.  

I'll post some photos in the next couple of days.  Right now I'm catching up on emails and printing off orders etc so I'd better get back to it.
