Hi, it's Boxing Day here and I'm gardening, chasing the shade. We had a lovely damp Christmas Day which was my wish that came true! I'd been watching the weather forecast like a hawk for 10 days before Christmas and it kept saying sun. If there's one thing I dislike, it's a hot, sunny Christmas day - it makes it very hard to enjoy christmas fare. Oh to be in the Northern hemisphere for Christmas - if I could just click my fingers and get there and back in a day!
I had a frantically busy December, hence my lack of posts. I've considered giving up my blog because I post a lot of my gardening news etc on Facebook, but I just can't bring myself to do it. A huge chunk of my life has been recorded on this blog and if I close down my blog I lose the lot! They used to offer a ''book'' of your posts but they don't anymore, I'd have to print all of my posts out and that would take forever, not to mention several printer cartridges.
I will endeavour to post at least once a week from 1 January, and will set a reminder on my computer to nudge me every week!
I'm not shipping any plants until Monday 14 January so over the next couple of weeks I will be working hard in the garden, nursery, propagating shed and on my website before the madness begins again. I love every minute of what I do, it's just tricky to juggle everything at times.
Oh I got my ballet exam result - 79 Merit, which I'm pleased with. I was a bit annoyed with myself because I really wanted to get 80 or more. 85 is Distinction and we've been told it is tricky to get a high score because it's a performance rather than a technique exam. I need to remember I'm 56.5 with a hip replacement for heavens sake. 79 is pretty amazing!!!! We get a gold stand alone plaque with this exam which is VERY exciting!
Well I'd better leap back out into the shady garden. If only it was cloudy I'd be able to work out in the kitchen garden (which is looking like tall weed central in parts) - it's just too hot out there in the sun. Smiles...
